Current UTC time. Coordinated Universal Time

Coordinated Universal Time or UTC is the world time standard. World time zones are defined as positive or negative offsets from UTC. UTC has replaced Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time (in English) or Temps universel coordonné (in French).

UTC clocks have no daylight saving time. In countries and territories observing daylight saving time, the offset from UTC is changed twice a year.

UTC is based on International Atomic Time (TAI). TAI is a weighted average of signals from more than 200 atomic clocks located in about 70 science laboratories around the world.

Iceland and its capital Reykjavik as well as Ghana and its capital Accra always observe UTC time.
